The Most Popular Boat Colors of 2020
From the 27 foot 270 Alaskan to a 16 foot Crestliner 1650 Pro Tiller, our boats come in all shapes and sizes. Just like power of your motor, here at Lynden Sports Center we understand that color matters in buying a boat. Whether it’s the interior or the exterior choosing a color that matches you and your style can be difficult. That is why our team and BallOfSpray Intergalactic Digital Media researched and came up with a list of the most popular boat colors of 2020.
#1 Blue: The most preferred boat color is blue. 40% of boat owners prefer owning blue boats. There must be something about the way the boat matches the waves that plays into this.
#2 Red: The second most preferred boat color is red. 24% of boat owners prefer owning red boats. There is something to be said about the magnificence of a red boat flying across a lake like a corvette.
#3 White: The third most preferred boat color is white. 17% of boat owners prefer owning red boats. In an article from MIKOL on color psychology, the color of white on a boat brings a sense of purity and peace, that is if you are able to keep your boat clean.
#4/5 Yellow/Orange: The fourth and fifth most preferred boat color is yellow or orange. Coming in at a tie, 3% of boat owners prefer owning a yellow or orange boat. Many of these flashy boats are meant for speed and not leisure.
#6 Green:The sixth most preferred boat color is green. 2% of boat owners prefer owning a green boat. Many of these owners are avid fisherman or hunters. Most of our Crestliner Jon Boats are some variation of green to help them blend into their surroundings.
What is your preferred primary boat color? Shades of red or blue seem to be the most common, among boat owners according to our research. What you might not know is that much of this is due to a limited number of color choices available earlier on from manufactures. However even with all of today’s options, reds and blues still seem to be the most popular. Is it that some colors are shown to have better resale values? Or maybe its some colors are easier to keep clean than others? Any thoughts behind this? If you would like to check out Our Inventory and learn for yourself why we love boats so much, Click Here!
