10 Fun Facts About June
Can you believe it’s June already? Even with everything going on in the world, here at Lynden Sports Center, we have had one of the best May’s to date! In May, One of our Sales Members, Charles, liked to say, “this month our boats have been selling light hot cakes!” Yes, they have Charles. Yes, they have.
We are so thankful for our success last month and so excited for our potential success this month, that our team has decided to come up with a list of 10 Fun Facts About June! We believe in the power of positivity and being thankful for what we have. Check out our list below and get just as excited for the month of June as we are.
Fun Fact #1: June is the month with the longest daylight hours of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. This mean’s, yes you guessed it, more daylight to go finishing in a boat from Lynden Sports Center!
Fun Fact #2: June’s birthstone is the pearl, the Moonstone and the Alexandrite. Ooo shiny.
Fun Fact #3:The June birth flower is the Rose (Rosa) and the Honeysuckle (Lonicera). Other June blooms include: Magnolia, Echinacea, roses, poppies, water lilies, day lilies, pitcher plants, pale grass pink orchids and so much more!
Fun Fact #4: In 2009 June was the 662 most popular name for girls in the USA. I wish there was a boat named June…
Fun Fact #5: Anglo-Saxons gave the June the name “Sera monath” because typically June can be one of the driest months of the year! Did you also know because of this fact, Lynden Sports Center typically has a very successful month in due to this? It’s so dry you just HAVE to get yourself into a boat and onto a lake. Your skin care routine needs it (or so you wife might say)!
Fun Fact #6: Interestingly enough, why the month was named June is under a historical debate. Experts have decided the name is either derived from Roman mythology, Juno is the wife of Jupiter and the goddess of marriage, or from a Roman feast put on by the iuniores, young people.
Fun Fact #7: In both common and leap years, no other month begins on the same day of the week as June.
Fun Fact #8: Did you know June is international men’s month? You should honor the man in your life with a boat from the largest show room in Michigan, Lynden Sports Center!
